(ALL ON QUINCE 'A' ROOTSTOCK)

Due to a problem with rootstock growth last year, we have a severe shortage of pears. We are in the process of trying to source some elsewhere, and hope to have ast least the following;
JARGONELLE - (A)(3 Triploid)(N)(V3) Sept.
Excellent, hardy early fruit.
GORHAM - (B) (N) (V2) Sept-Oct.
Long, pale yellow pear, like "Williams" but less scab prone.
HESSLE - (B) (3)(S?) (V2) Sept-Oct.
Raised at Hessle near Hull, first recorded 1827and once much-grown in Scotland.
Healthy and one of the most reliable pears.
IMPROVED FERTILITY- (A) (4) (N) (V2) Oct.
Small rusetted fruits, hardy and disease resistant.
LOUISE BONNE OF JERSEY (B)(2)(N)(V2) Oct.
Raised 1780, Normandy. Pale green with red flush. Sweet and juicy flesh. Known
to do very well in the lower Borders area.
